Hi Kristin. Thank you for posting your thoughts. I think with Kristen’s advice you are definitely on the way to experiencing what you hope for. God knows how to give good gifts to his children. You are one of them! I have also had some doubts earlier about years that I thought was wasted in the Lord, but I came to understand that God is in a timeless dimension and when we spend time with Him in praying, hearing His voice, journaling etc there is no thought of past, but just a long presence/present. All we need to do is to come to him as we are and He will work out the things for you! God bless you!
Hi Carol! Great to see you join here. It is probably the most important course I ever took up until now. So much eye opening stuff. I started to pray differently, also started to mind my dreams and interpret them. Practising abiding with Jesus all the time. Life is very interesting every day!
Hi Karen, am praying for flow in your tongues! I agree, the less you think about it the more it will flow. I remember on my first day of speaking in tongues, I was practising every now and then, the whole day, while gardening, just to check if they (the tongues) were still there.

Interesting, Chris, I also made a similar observation about dreaming as I tried to remember the whole dream, but that was very hard… And your prayer request is being brought before the Lord. It will happen, for sure, as your request is exactly what He wants too! (Just like King Solomon, who asked for a listening heart!)
Hi Leanne, thanks for sharing this longing you have! When I got spirit filled there were also just a few syllables, but over time it developed and more and more syllables were added. At some point even it seemed the language switched to another one altogether. Anyhow, I think that this came about by me “experimenting” a lot with my tongues, much like a baby does, they just relish their syllables and go-go ga-ga’s! Maybe you can try to sing a melody using the syllables? I remember also testing out speaking loudly, then quietly, whispering, slowly, fast… (I did this when no one was around :)). I think it might also help to have some quiet worship music playing so that you are not too much aware of what is actually coming out. I have also heard of someone who put on headphones with music and then just spoke without hearing what they said.

Carol: Lord, what is the parable of the unjust servant about? (Luke 16:1-13)
Lord: It was not right to do what that servant did. First, he was dealing wrong with his master, because he squandered his goods. He was not caring to do a good job. Then, he tried to fix it out of his own self pity that he should not suffer himself. He was unwilling to take the consequence of what he had done. Thirdly, he was unjust again in that he made his own rules and said that 80=100 and 50=100. In other words, he again got his master less than right and made himself look good at his masters expense in the eyes of the debtors. Even the master was not righteous, because he thought that, while the steward had been wrong, at least he came up with at good idea to solve his problem.
With God it is not so, you can’t try to be serving God and at the same time have friends in an unrighteous way. God demands full service. It is an all or nothing thing. This is because the ways are opposite. You cannot walk forward to God, then backward to the world. There is no progress then so you yourself is the loser. No on else loses.
So, since I love you so much and want you to go forward, I have told you this.Carol: Thank you, Lord, I understand this now. Thanks for explaining!

Welcome Chris, so now we are alredy a nice little group of us to meet here! Happy New Year everyone! I look forward to ths new year with anticipation because the things I learn now, hearing God’s voice and learning to honour the Spirit within. It can only be very interesting from now on… I have something interesting to tell regarding the scripture John 7:37-39 about the rivers of living water within us. Also having had a very analytical nature, God showed me, when I got baptized in the Spirit, that He is very real and full of power. What happened was that in the same moment as I asked God to give me His spirit, a warm, whirling sensation welled up from my belly and upward, my arms flew up and I was “pushed” (flew?) from the rug where I was on my knees onto the couch about 1.5 meters away! Immediately I knew that God really exists and does hear prayer! I thought this was the spirit but I was not really sure what this experience meant. As I had started to read my Swedish bible every day, some weeks later I read in the gospel of John. For some reason, I sometimes also read the Bible in English and that is what I did on the day I came to chapter 7: “out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water…” “Wow, that’s exactly what happened to me, literally”, I thought, but it was only because I had read it in English where it said “belly” (KJV) that I made the connection. In my Swedish bible it said “innermost” and at that time I would have “analyzed” innermost to be something vague… Anyway, God knows how to explain things to us and He also gave me a miracous healing at the same time – He fixed something in my womb (that is where the wobbling sensation started) and I never had any more monthly pain, which up until that point had been keeping me from functioning. Now, some 20 years later God shows yet another deapth of these verses. That wobbly, whirling power i felt was the physical manifestation of the spriritual truth of the “bubbling up” that Mark V describs of the river of life in us. Praise the Lord! (Thanks for reading)
