Would God tell you, “I love you more than life itself”? ABSOLUTELY, YES!!!

In fact, Christ did tell you that. John 15:13-14, “Greater love hath no man that this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”

1 John 3:16 says, “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us.”

The Cross so clearly demonstrates God’s great love for us.

Don’t be afraid to embrace God’s love and allow Him to embrace you!!!

    Wonderful counsel!

God has also been speaking with me lately about giving the gift of time and truly being present, not distracted, in my relationships.

Follow His lead and you will be blessed!

    Hi Alexandra,

God has brought you to my mind several times in recent days. Your question about your struggle to hear in the spirit being connected to the disability you struggle with keeps rumbling in my spirit.

There is a book called “A More Excellent Way” by Dr. Henry Wright that explores the spiritual roots of physical diseases and disorders. Through his ministry, he has found “ADD comes out of a dumb and deaf spirit.” He also says, “There is a double mindedness that comes and this is an inherited family curse.” The generational curse has come when the family is led by the mother instead of the father. Since this is not the way God designed things to work, even when the situation is that the mother has no choice but to take the family leadership, the devil takes advantage of that and moves in through the open door of a family structure that is out of compliance with God’s order. (p. 245)

As you are working through “Prayers that Heal the Heart,” seek God for deliverance from the dumb and deaf spirit. “Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled!” (Matthew 5:6) Your thirst for a closer relationship with God is pleasing to Him. He is smiling at you. He will not leave you unfulfilled. Keep seeking Him and you will hear Him.

    Blessings to you, sister!

    Hi Alexandra,

Your sincere desire to hear God touched my heart. Above all else, keep seeking Him, don’t give up. Your search will be rewarded.

Listening to praise and worship music before your quiet time can help you hear God. YouTube has some beautiful selections, just search praise and worship music.

Get somewhere that you can be still, no distractions, so you can focus on God. Take the vision God gives you and ask Him to expand it. When I hear God, it’s like the vision explodes and expands and I “hear” with my spiritual eyes as He brings pictures to my mind. Write what you are seeing and what you are feeling. God also speaks to us through emotions. As you journal your visions and the emotions flowing with them, I expect you will find God’s voice becoming clearer.

Also, if English is not your native language, use the language you are more comfortable with. God knows them all. 🙂 One lady in my church speaks English but is tone deaf. So, she sings in sign language! It is so beautiful.

The other thing I would suggest is Scripture memory. The better you know God’s written Word (logos), the better you can hear His spoken word (rhema). What He speaks will never go against what He has already spoken through Scripture. I use an app called Remember Me to help with Scripture memorization.

Relax and stop struggling. He wants you to hear Him even more than you want to hear Him. Remember, stillness, vision, spontaneity and journaling.

As you become more intimate with Father, you will come to see more and more of His love for you. Many people grew up in homes and churches where “religion” was taught, not Jesus. Through your journaling, ask Him what teachings and mindsets He wants to purge from you and what Truth replaces those errors. Ask Him to show you His love for you personally.

I’m also a firm believer in the importance of Scripture memory. It’s something I learned in high school and have continued throughout my life. God weaves His Word through much of the journaling I do, which gives me a confidence that I am hearing from Him. His spoken Word (rhema) will not contradict His written Word, the Bible (logos). I use the Remember Me app for this important discipline.

You’re just starting on what will be a thrilling journey. You will make mistakes and missteps, but that’s OK. We all do.

It’s wonderful that you’re reaching out. Keep pressing in! You’ll be so glad you did. 🙂

I also struggle with seeing with my mind’s eye. However, I have received impressions of pictures for a long time. It’s like an idea of a scene that I see with my heart.

When I receive that impression of a scene, I journal the idea and speak that I have seen it. I talk to the Lord about it. As I do, the picture becomes more clear.

Be patient with yourself. We don’t all progress at the same rate in everything.

Most of all, RELAX. If you’re stressed and struggling, you choke what Holy Spirit is trying to do in you.
