Before you begin…
This course is all about making you aware of your spirit so that you will be able to recognize the moving of the Holy Spirit Who has joined Himself to your spirit. The only way that can happen is if the Holy Spirit breathes upon His Word and upon what we say and transforms it into revelation truth for you within your heart. He waits for us to invite Him and welcome His Presence. So, before you begin any lesson in this course, before you read a sentence or listen to a word, we strongly encourage you to lay your hand on your heart and pray the following aloud and from your heart:
Lord, I draw near with a sincere heart, repentant and washed by the blood of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I set aside my thoughts, my reasoning, my theology, my fears and my pride. I relax, cease my own strivings, and tune to your flow within. Holy Spirit, I open my heart and mind to you. I ask that You anoint the eyes of my heart and enlighten my understanding. I ask that You grant me God’s thoughts, God’s pictures, God’s emotions and God’s creativity. Thank you for what you reveal, in Jesus’ name, Amen. (Ps. 46:10; Ps. 62:5; Heb. 10:22; Eph. 1:17,18; Jer. 29:13; Isa. 1:18; Jn. 7:37-39; Acts 2:25)
Assignments for Lesson One:
Each of these assignments is designed to give the Holy Spirit place to speak to you, make His truth flesh in your life, and change you into the image of the Son. These assignments are not just busy-work to make you feel good about completing an online course; every one of them is important. Take the time to complete them thoroughly before moving on if you truly want to confidently live and walk by the Spirit.
u Listen to or watch Session 1, taking notes as you listen.
u Prayerfully read the Introduction of the How to Walk by the Spirit textbook.
NOTE: The information on the four keys to hearing God’s voice should be a review for you since you have already taken the Hearing God’s Voice School of the Spirit module. If you have not yet completed that course, we strongly encourage you to do that first, before you continue with this module. The information and skills you acquire there are absolutely essential to walking and living by the Spirit. So, if you have not yet taken Hearing God’s Voice, please stop now and finish that course first. It could change your life!
NOTE: The How to Walk by the Spirit workbook you downloaded is in PDF format which allows you to highlight and write in your own notes. If you do not know how to do this, here is a short instructional video.
u Share your journey: Let your testimony be a light and an encouragement to others who are following the same path. Share what God is doing in your life with your family and friends, and through your social media network(s): on FaceBook, in a tweet, in a blog – whatever forums you have available. And don’t forget to share it in our module forum. Releasing your testimony to the world can be powerfully effective in confirming and sealing the work God is doing within you!

Prepare for Quiz One:
You don’t need to try to recall everything on your own. You have a Teacher and a Helper Who is right there inside you, waiting for you to turn to Him.
Holy Spirit, I quiet myself before You, and I ask that You remind me of the things I have learned. You have promised to bring things to my remembrance. I ask You to do that now. Thank You!
